Barbara Dawson has combined the Floor Barre technique of Boris Kniaseff (popular in the dance centres of Paris) with the more modern trend of Barre workouts sweeping the globe at the moment. The 60 min class combines floor work (using the floor for support and alignment), progressing to the 'barre' - challenging core strength, balance and sculpting the lower body. The class finishes with stretches and a cool down. Alignment, posture, elegance and grace of movement are all key elements to this class.



Rebecca has over 12 years experience working as a Sports, Orthopaedic and Womens Health Physiotherapist in both NZ and the UK.

She is a Credentialled Mckenzie therapist specialising in neck, back and pelvic pain has completed extensive post graduate training in Clinical Pilates, Acupuncture , Manual therapy and Womens Health. She has a particular interest in the prevention and rehabilitation of pregnancy related back and pelvic pain, and post-natal recovery of form and fitness.

Jane has been teaching pilates for over 10 years in both the UK and New Zealand. Over the years she has worked with a variety of clients from children to endurance athletes and led classes in retirement villages, hospitals and lawyers offices. She has used pilates in the rehearsal room with actors, opera singers and dancers; and has worked with international touring musicians prior to going on stage. Jane is committed to making sure every client has a complete movement experience for whatever their level.

Nicki joins our team at re:ab now on a regular basis. Nicki is passionate about health and fitness, more specifically in the last 10+ years in the intelligence of Pilates for everyone!

Having graduated in Sport Science (UK 1994) Nicki's always worked in the Health & Fitness Industry, for a range of organisations and in a variety of roles. Nicki looks forward helping your core activate!

As a personal trainer, Kirsty Gregg keeps a constant eye on international trends when it comes to workout regimes. Kirsty works with client groups ranging from one-on-one personal training to larger classes with a focus on strength and conditioning, cardiovascular and pilates. A new mother, Kirsty also specialises in postnatal programs.

After graduating from the University of Southampton in 2007 Rachel worked in Wales for 3 years in a variety of hospital settings and with multiple sports teams. She left Wales in 2010 and travelled for 6 months en route to NZ. She has been working in a private clinic setting as a physiotherapist, a bootcamp instructor and working with a variety of sports teams; including NZ rep netball teams and a Division 1 soccer team. She also trained in Pilates and really enjoys the way it complements rehabilitation. She feels that happiness, health and fitness are the key to achieving any goal.

Monique graduated from the University of Otago in 2007 with a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine. She has a real passion for health and fitness and enjoys motivating and helping clients reach their goals. Monique works as a Personal Trainer and takes boot camps, pilates classes, spin and spin:lates at re:ab.


Senior physiotherapist and pilates clinician

Stacey rejoins re:ab and will be taking private and physio clients. She has nine years experience in physiotherapy (private practice) and pilates, having trained to an advanced level in Clinical Pilates. She also has post graduate training in women's health from the University of Melbourne (Post Grad Certificate Exercise for Women) and has a special interest in pregnancy and post natal exercise/ issues, pelvic floor dysfunction and using pilates as a rehabilitation tool. Stacey has worked with a number of top New Zealand athletes and sports teams. She enjoys challenging clients to learn more about their bodies and how they can get the best out of them.

Alicia Mitchell

Alicia is a graduate from The New Zealand School of Dance, Wellington, majoring in contemporary and classical dance. After graduating from The NZSD and completing tertiary training Alicia has performed and travelled throughout Australia, United Kingdom and New Zealand.

Alicia is still involved in teaching dance, adjudicating and tutoring seminars nationally, choreographing and teaching solo works for competitions.

Alicia is passionate about pilates, the benefits gained over the past 13 years, the strengthening and flexibility have helped her as a professional dancer. Pilates has helped maintain a fit, flexible and strong body and she hopes to inspire, motivate, and provide an enjoyable and challenging workout with an emphasis on correct alignment, posture and technique and most of all encourage you to be as passionate about Pilates and she is.

Stella is a qualified Polestar Pilates Instructor, has a Diploma in Fitness Training through AUT & has experience working both as a Personal Trainer, NZBCS Boot Camp trainer and NZPCA Equestrian Coach. Stella is really passionate about Pilates & strongly believes that everyone no matter their age, body type or lifestyle can gain something really positive by practicing the Pilates method on a regular basis. She looks forward to working with you soon!

Stella is available for private Pilates sessions & is currently teaching 'Pilates Plus' on Friday mornings.

Debbie is a qualified Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor and loves the integration for rehabilitation and conditioning. She has a postgraduate diploma in physiotherapy and acupuncture and is a qualified Steel Pilates Practitioner. Debbie has worked with Ponsonby, Auckland and South Auckland rugby league teams & assisted at North Harbour Club netball with physiotherapy and sports massage. Prior to physio, Debbie completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Sports & Exercise Science at Auckland University and was teaching at her own branch as a qualified ballet teacher until 2009. Debbie enjoys performing arts, as well as a good game of rugby.
