Sue joined re:ab in October 2014 after 25 years at Unitec in a Customer Service and Supervisor's role.
Sue has always had an interest in Health and Fitness and has taught aerobics for many years. She is enjoying working in a caring and positive environment. She is passionate about helping others whether they are clients or staff.
She is also physically active and is currently enjoying a variety of classes at re:ab.
DEBBIE SUMNER - HEAD OF PHYSIOTHERAPY

Debbie is a qualified Physiotherapist, Clinical Pilates Instructor and Breathing Educator, loving the integration for rehabilitation and conditioning. She has a postgraduate diploma in physiotherapy and acupuncture. Debbie is trained in lymphoedema/chronic oedema management, and previously delivered Steel Pilates rehabilitation. Debbie has worked with Ponsonby, Auckland and South Auckland rugby league teams & assisted at North Harbour Club netball with physiotherapy and sports massage. Prior to physio, Debbie completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Sports & Exercise Science at Auckland University in Biomechanics. She has a keen interest in helping young dancers and was teaching at her own branch as a qualified ballet teacher until 2009. Debbie enjoys the performing arts, as well as a good game of rugby.

Jane is a certified pilates instructor with Body Control UK and Polestar International; she also holds a Total Barre Instructor and Spinning(r) Instructor Certification. As Head of Pilates at re:ab she runs inservice sessions with the pilates team and regularly attends courses and workshops to keep at the forefront of trends and developments in the pilates sector. She has over 15 years experience teaching, and has worked with a variety of clients from children to endurance athletes, led classes in retirement villages, hospitals and lawyers offices. Jane has a BA Hons degree in Performing Arts and has used pilates in the rehearsal room with actors, opera singers and dancers; and has worked with international touring musicians prior to going on stage. Jane is committed to making sure every client has a complete movement experience for whatever their level.

AMELIA HUTCHINSON - Certified Personal Trainer, STOTT PILATES Instructor, Barre Instructor, BBus (Bachelor of Business)
As an ex-professional ballerina, I moved to Melbourne in my teens to train full-time at The Australian Ballet School before making the hop over to London where I danced with English National Ballet. After spending eight years living in the UK while dancing professionally, teaching ballet, barre, and Pilates, alongside completing a Bachelor of Business, I returned back home to Auckland in 2020, and feel extremely grateful to be carrying on my passion for teaching in New Zealand.
CHARLOTTE ROSE - Barre Instructor
Hailing from London, Charlotte worked as a professional dancer for over 14 years travelling around the world. She has worked alongside many artist in music videos, tours, television and the west end.
In 2013 her passion for dance and fitness led her to gain her qualifications in barre and STOTT pilates. With 8 years experience of teaching, it is her heartfelt desire to help people to really understand their body and the long-term benefits of barre and pilates. Training with Charlotte is not just about how you look on the outside but how strong you feel on the inside. Her approach is a fusion of dance and pilates combined. Everyone is so beautifully different, and Charlotte believes it's about working with what you've got to become the best version of yourself.
DAMIAN TAYLOR - Senior Physiotherapist NZRP, MNZSP
Damian has gained extensive experience both in New Zealand and the UK in a variety of hospitals and private practices over the last 29 years.
He has attended numerous postgraduate courses to extend his skill base and develop new treatment strategies. This includes being qualified in the world acclaimed McKenzie Method of spinal treatment and completing his certification in Advanced Sports Rehabilitation at the prestigious Curtin University in Australia. Damian completed his postgraduate diploma in health science in 2016 with an A grade average and received the Manipulative Therapy association award for “first in class” in the musculoskeletal physiotherapy examinations. He is currently studying towards his Masters in Health Practice and writing a review on the efficacy of hypnotherapy for chronic pain.
Damian established his own successful practice within Auckland in 2004 which grew to include four clinics before being sold. He joined the team at Reab in 2016 and combines this wealth of experience with the most up-to-date research to offer treatments that will produce rapid long-lasting results.
DESIREE BUSS - Fitness Instructor and PT
Des comes from the Rocky Mountains of Montana but has spent the last 6 years living and traveling in New Zealand. She comes from a very athletic background and loves getting outside every chance she gets. While studying her comprehensive Pilates certification through BASI, she's also trained as a PT over the last 18 months and currently trains as a circuit trainer. Des has a strong passion for health and fitness and is consistently inspired by human movement. If you don't pass her in studio, you may just find her out on one of Auckland's beautiful trails.
EVA NAGY - Boxing:Circuit
Eva has been involved in various martial arts in 19 years, holding a black belt, and has experience in both teaching classes and competing herself. As a trainer she enjoys teaching skills and helping to take people to the next level and achieving their fitness goals.
GENEVIEVE DAWICK - Qualified fitness professional (Fitness Instruction & Personal Training) Stott Pilates (in progress) Specialises in Circuit, Spin, and Mat Pilates
Genevieve sees exercise as a critical tool for establishing / maintaining good physical and mental health. Her aim is to provide classes that are challenging and fun with a focus on functional movement.
JEREMY KLOET - Jeremy Kloet Reps registered fitness professional (Group Class Choreographer & Personal trainer) Polestar Pilates (in progress) Expertise in Bootcamps, Spinning, TRX, Kettlebelsl, Strength and Core Pilates
Jeremy's goal is for the everyday person to improve their overall health and fitness while still enjoying themselves. He incorporates aspects of functional and cardiovascular fitness into all his classes. His personal challenge is to keep his classes fresh and entertaining with his personable style and professionalism - keeping classes upbeat and fun!
KELLY KIRWAN - Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor
Kelly is an instructor for our pilates classes and outdoor bootcamps. Kelly also teaches TRX and Circuit classes. She designs classes to challenge clients and push themselves to try new exercises. Exercise should be fun and another way to connect with others in a body positive way. Kelly likes to help clients achieve their fitness and health goals in a fun, challenging and positive way to be your best version of YOU.
KIRSTY MURRAY - Senior Physiotherapist (BSC Hons), Diploma Orthopaedic Medicine, Certified APPI Pilates Instructor, Accredited Acupuncture Practitioner (AACP UK)
Kirsty graduated in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh in 2006. Since qualifying Kirsty gained extensive Physiotherapy experience in the UK including working as a Team Lead Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for a large private healthcare company in Edinburgh.
Kirsty relocated to NZ in 2018 with her Kiwi husband and has enjoyed working at re:ab ever since.
Kirsty is an APPI Certified Pilates Matwork Instructor and has trained in Reformer Pilates with Polestar in NZ. She has over 10 years Pilates teaching experience both in the UK and NZ and has a special interest in teaching ante and post-natal Pilates.
Kirsty's elite Sports Physiotherapy experience includes working at the 2012 Olympics in London, 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and working for 4 seasons within Premier 1 Division Rugby in Edinburgh.
Kirsty loves combining her Pilates experience with her "hands on" Physio skills to facilitate recovery, optimise performance and reduce the risk of re- injury.

PIA D'AMBROS - Polestar Pilates, Mat & Reformer Instructor
Pia D’Ambros is Polestar Pilates New Zealand Mat & Reformer trained. Pia is a passionate, experienced Pilates coach that loves making every class different and new. Her energy is infectious in a class setting due to her love of Pilates’ core principals. Pia works alongside physiotherapists to ensure rehabilitation from injury or surgery is safe and successful with the goal of getting your body back to functional movement.
She believes Pilates gives you the confidence that your body can do what you want it to do, when you want to do it.

Rachel graduated in BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from the University of Southampton in 2007; with most of those 14 years experience predominantly treating musculoskeletal injuries and pathologies. She worked in NHS hospitals and with sports teams for 3 years in Wales, before travelling from Wales to New Zealand in 2010. She has worked for the last 11 years in rehab clinics, pilates studios, schools and with elite athletes.
Rachel is a certified Pilates Instructor, Trigger Point Dry Needling therapist and Bradcliff Breathing practitioner. She has trained with Polestar Pilates for mat and studio in 2013 and has completed a variety of APPI courses; anti natal and post natal pilates, pilates for runners, stretch therapy for pilates, small equipment. She is passionate about Pilates and fitness and enjoys taking a variety of 1:1, group, spin, fitness and running classes.
Rachel has gained further experience developing her skills in women's health physiotherapy in 2020 and 2021 and is certified in treating female urinary incontinence and pelvic pain. She incorporates breathing and uses exercise as part of a healthy mind-body approach to maintaining mobility, gaining strength and keeping mentally and physically strong and healthy. She believes an all round approach to Physiotherapy is key.
SHAAN KLOET - Certified Spin and Polestar Pilates Instructor
Shaan Kloet is a certified Spin instructor and Polestar Pilates instructor. Shaan has been teaching at re:ab for the past two years and loves working along side the re:ab members, helping everyone reach their goals in their own fitness journey. Shaan attends classes regularly to ensure she is able to keep up with the re:ab members and loves learning new skills. Out of re:ab Shaan is a New Zealand Musical Theatre performer and also loves spending time walking with her dog Indy! :)
SHELLEY BICKERTON - Massage Therapist, Pilates Instructor & Dry Needle Practitioner
Shelley completed her Health Sciences Diploma at the New Zealand College of Massage in 2008. Her understanding of body mechanics aided her when she became a Pilates Instructor in 2010 after one-on-one training with a Clinical Pilates Specialist. She is equipped to teach both Reformer and Mat classes and continually develops her professional practice in these through further training. Her philosophy is that no matter your age or circumstances in life, you can be fitter stronger, more flexible, and healthier. This is reflected in her passion for what she does and the incredible results she gets for her clients.
KIRSTY WILKINSON - BCom/ LLB (Hons) - Owner
Kirsty joined Lou at re:ab in 2006 after 10 years working in a variety of roles in health and law. She now is the sole owner of re:ab as well as being on a variety of boards in her spare time. Kirsty is passionate about health and well being and providing the very best experience for all re:ab clients. She has been a re:ab client herself since its inception and loves the combination of services that re:ab is able to provide, with its expert physiotherapy, pilates classes and fitness classes. She tries to 'walk the talk' and you will often see her at boot camp, in re:barre or on the reformer in the re:ab studio.
